A Girls World!: "Where it’s cool to be a girl." An online interactive magazine created especially for girls age 7-14. You can join their club and they won’t ask you for your last name, which is good.

History/Social Studies Web Site: although it’s mainly for teachers, it also has links to museums. The student’s page also has great story-telling links.

Oasis Kids’ Corner: Games, an interactive story and more. Graphic intensive, light on explanations. Presented by an online bookstore.

Kaboose Network: Free software for kids.

Writing HTML: An online tutorial aimed at teachers, but there's nothing to keep kids from using it.
