Vantage Credit Union (formerly Suburban Teachers Credit Union/Educational Employees Credit Union/EECU) has always been a credit union steeped in a tradition of education. That’s why it just makes sense that we give back to the local community in the form of education, such as the annual presentation of our Quest For Education Scholarship program.

Vantage recognizes the importance of education for successful futures, that’s why we give back to our younger members for their commitment to educational excellence. Each year, Vantage awards 20 $1,000 Quest For Education (QFE) Scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Any Vantage Credit Union member who's a graduating high school senior is eligible for this scholarship. Financial need is not a criterion for this award, nor is class rank, SAT/ACT score or grade point average.

Recipients must use the scholarship to attend an accredited college, community college or university. Each scholarship is paid directly to the school of choice (not the student) at the time of fall registration. The scholarship money may be used for books and tuition.

This year, students from 19 different schools earned scholarships. In the past 29 years, Vantage has awarded over $552,000 in scholarships to area high school seniors.

QFE applications are available starting in mid-to-late August. How can you get one?

  • Downloaded it from our website
  • Visit any Vantage branch
  • Check your local high school guidance office
  • Call us at 314.298.0055 or 800.522.6009, and we’ll mail you an application
