Part-Time Tellers - The following branch locations are currently seeking part-time tellers to provide exceptional service to our members:

Cave Springs
North County
Olivette
South County

Hours are generally 20-28 per week, with Saturday mornings required. These positions are strictly part-time but there is some potential for moving into a full-time position.

Requirements:

• 1 year of heavy cash handling experience, with teller experience a plus
• Exceptional customer service skills; friendly, upbeat personality
• Ability to multi-task, promote products and services
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to balance a cash drawer proficiently

Responsibilities:

• Process member transactions in an accurate, courteous manner
• Promote VCU products and services
• Accurately balance and secure cash drawer daily
• Count, verify and package currency and coin
• Sell cashiers checks, travelers checks, savings bonds, money orders
• Cash checks, verifying identity, signature and availability of funds
• Follow all federal regulations and internal policies

Candidates must:

• Have a strong work ethic, professional appearance
• Be able to pass a background check including having a clean credit record
• Have a professional, pleasant and friendly manner
• Be dependable, available on most Saturday mornings

Collector - We are currently seeking an experienced first party Collector to join our team at our Bridgeton location full-time. Candidates will have the ability to work evenings, Saturdays and some holidays.

Qualifications required:

• 1-2 years first party collections experience in consumer or credit card collections
• Skip Tracing skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Knowledge of state/federal regulations regarding collections
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and goals

Responsibilities:

• Contact by telephone and collect from members whose accounts are more than 15 days delinquent
• Investigate reasons given for failure to pay, and evaluate the situation to determine borrower's ability to meet their future obligation
• Locate delinquent borrowers whose whereabouts are unknown to the credit union
• Provide necessary research in resolving problems with a member's account, correct discrepancies, and advise member of outcome on a regular basis

Insurance Agency Coordinator - If you are experienced in the sale of insurance products, we may have a great opportunity for you! This full-time position is available in Bridgeton

Qualifications:

• Must have 2 or more years of financial institution/insurance experience along with progressively responsible sales experience.
• Must have Life, Accident & Health and Property & Casuality insurance licenses.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Access with good 10-key ability
• Ability to multi-task, good time-management and organized
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

1. Process all member requests related to the CUIA products and services. Posess extensive knowledge of the CUIA products and services to assist members and clients.
2. Assume responsibility for training and development of department staff and assist with regular branch employee training.
3. Prepare a wide variety of correspondence and reports that require a high level of proficiency in software such as Excel and Access.
4. Gather data and information from a variety of sources to make calculations and verify data accuracy and relevance.
5. Effectively handle member complaints/discrepancies on insurance policies while directing such persons to the appropriate personnel.
6. Assist in the development of partner relationships which would benefit the CUIA.
7. Assist with administrative duties which include the administration and supervision of Property & Casuality, supplemental health, and turnkey insurance products.
8. Organize, establish and implement achievable and measurable goals.
