Vantage Credit Union was selected as one of the 2016 Top Workplaces by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for the second year in a row. This is an honor we are very proud of because the results come directly from our employees.
We are a group of unique individuals with a diverse background who also reflect the makeup of our membership. Having 14 area branches allows us to be directly involved in and a vital part of the communities we serve.
I started working for the credit union in August 2008 and didn’t know what to expect. I knew I needed a job but had no idea my job would become a major part of my life.
As employees, we’ve celebrated major milestones such as birthdays, weddings and retirements, encouraged one another when times got tough during the recession and were a shoulder to lean on when needed. We come together every day for a common purpose to provide superior service to our member-owners.
Having worked in both the branches and support departments, it’s been incredible to see the mission of the credit union resonate in the hearts and minds of those I work with. Seventy Vantage employees have been with the credit union for 15 years or longer, an indication that they feel the organization is a good, fair employer.
Our employees were surveyed and asked to provide quotes about their experience at Vantage, and here are some of them:
“I enjoy the people I work with.”
“This is, by far, the most open, encouraging place I’ve worked.”
“I feel respected. Great benefits package.”
Enjoying where you work and having a great benefits package is a big deal for our employees especially for those with families. It is also very appealing for prospective candidates looking for a place where they can thrive in their personal and professional lives.
2016 has been a good year for us, and we look forward to many more.
