Vantage is now offering members access to Android Pay, a new category of service that transforms mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay with Android mobile devices. Members can just hold up their Android phone near the merchant’s contactless reader to make a payment.
Members can us any Android device running Kit Kat (4.4) or higher to pay with their Vantage credit or debit card at participating merchants where contactless payment is available without swiping their card, and within apps without having to enter payment and contact information. Android Pay doesn’t use actual card numbers during transactions; instead, a unique virtual account number is assigned to represent account information, which is then used to securely process payments.
“We want to provide payment options that work for our members. We anticipate continued rapid change in the payment world and we’re committed to providing services to our members that create efficiency, provide protection and keep us on the leading edge of technology,” said Dolores Logan-Gump, Vantage Credit Union Director of Automated Services.
