Announcing Our 2015-2016 QFE Scholarship Recipients

2015-2016 QFE Scholarship recipients.

Twenty area high school seniors were honored with Quest For Education Scholarship during an award reception at Dave & Busters in Maryland Heights, Tuesday, May 10. Vantage Credit Union employees and board chairman, Dr. Jerry Eichholz, were on hand to congratulate the students as Eric Acree, President & CEO, presented each with their $1,000 scholarship.

Vantage recognizes the importance of higher education as a possible component for a successful future. With college tuition consistently on the rise, Vantage strives to give back to our younger members within the community for all their hard work and dedication.

Winners of the 2015-2016 Quest For Education Scholarships were judged on a combination of relevant topics: student-written essays; appropriate honors and awards; participation in extracurricular, community and volunteer activities; and recommendation letters. Vantage Credit Union membership was a prerequisite to be eligible. Volunteer scholarship judges consisted of local educators, Vantage Board and Supervisory Committee members, and select employees.

Students from schools throughout Missouri and Illinois, including 13 public schools, 4 private schools, and 1 homeschool, won this year’s scholarships. In the past 32 years, Vantage has awarded over $632,000 in scholarships to area high school seniors.

“We are extremely proud to recognize these twenty outstanding students who have demonstrated their quest for excellence and left a positive impact on others in their communities,” said Eric Acree.
