Announcing Our 2017-2018 Quest For Education Scholarship Recipients

Vantage Credit Union congratulates this year’s Quest For Education Scholarship (QFE) recipients. With roots in the educational community, Vantage recognizes the importance of higher education for a successful future. We strive to give back to our younger members for all their hard work and dedication. Over the past 34 years, we’ve awarded over $670,000 in scholarships to deserving students.

“The transition from high school to college can be challenging and expensive, but we don’t want that to deter our members from their educational pursuits,” said Eric Acree, President & CEO of Vantage Credit Union. “We strive to provide opportunities like our Quest For Education Scholarship to help ease the financial burden. We’re extremely proud to recognize these outstanding students for what they’ve accomplished and what they have yet to achieve.”

The recipients are listed below, along with their high schools:

Davis Aufdembrink—Christian Brothers College High School
Abigail Avery—Liberty High School
Justin Fitzpatrick—Hillsboro High School

Benjamin Goldstein—Holt High School
Keylana Jenkins—McCluer High School
Thomas Miller—Saint Louis Priory School
Delilah Sayer—Rockwood Summit High School

Scholarship applicants were judged on their essay response to the question, “If you could have one do-over in your life, what would it be and why?” and a combination of appropriate honors and awards; participation in extracurricular, community and volunteer activities; employment and recommendation letters. Credit union membership is required. Every year, dedicated volunteers (local educators, Vantage Board and Supervisory Committee members, and select employees) serve as QFE Selection Committee judges.

Congratulations to all our winners!
